Press Release] "LoggLaw G2C", the next generation GPS collar, has been tested in Kamikochi, Japan - Ecological research on Japanese macaques during the harsh winter season

Biologging Solutions Co., Ltd. (based in Kyoto) has begun a joint ecological survey and field trial of Japanese macaques using the next-generation GPS collar "LoggLaw G2C" in Kamikochi, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, starting in December 2024, in collaboration with the Kamikochi Branch of the Japan Nature Parks Foundation.
This study aims to elucidate the behavioral ecology of Japanese macaques in harsh winter environments and to improve the durability and accuracy of the GPS collars developed by our company. The data obtained is expected to be utilized to enhance future wildlife management and conservation measures.
