[Press Release] Field Trials of the Next-Generation GPS Collar “LoggLaw G2C” Begin in Kamikochi — Ecological Survey of Japanese Macaques During the Midwinter Season —

Biologging Solutions Co., Ltd. (based in Kyoto City), in collaboration with the Kamikochi Branch of the Nature Parks Foundation, a general incorporated foundation, began an ecological survey and field trial of Japanese macaques using the next-generation GPS collar “LoggLaw G2C” in Kamikochi, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, starting in December 2024.
This study aims to elucidate the behavioral ecology of Japanese macaques in harsh winter environments and to improve the durability and accuracy of the GPS collars developed by the company. The data obtained is expected to be utilized to enhance future wildlife management and conservation measures.
