Wildlife Damage Prevention GPS (bird / small animal type)

LoggLaw G2S

A compact 50g GPS device. The LoggLaw G2S supports fishery damage prevention against cormorants and the behavioral tracking of small animals.

About the LoggLaw G2S Wildlife Damage Prevention GPS

The LoggLaw G2S is a lightweight GPS tracking device designed for cormorant-related fishery damage prevention and small-animal behavior tracking. It packs an LTE-M communication module and solar panel into a body weighing just 50g.

Cormorants are a major source of fishery damage at fish farms and inland waters. The G2S enables remote, near-real-time tracking of their movements.

Key Features

Lightweight 50g Design

An air weight of just 50g (±5%) minimizes the burden on cormorants and small animals.

Solar Charging

Solar panel charging is supported. Without solar, approximately 1 month of operation is possible (under conditions of 12 GPS fixes/day and 1 data transmission per 3 days).

LTE-M Communication

LTE-M communication compliant with Japanese radio regulations (NTT Docomo and Softbank 4G coverage). Remote data retrieval without local receivers.

Fully Waterproof

Fully waterproof construction enables stable operation in rain and waterfront environments.

High-Capacity Memory

Stores 2,420 position fixes in onboard memory (approximately 200 days at 12 fixes/day). Memory is reset after successful upload to Animal Portal.

Long-Term Connectivity

LTE-M connectivity is included for 5 years from the delivery date. Additional purchases extend the connectivity period.

Primary Applications

Cormorant Control (Fishery Damage Prevention)

Cormorant predation on farmed and released fish has become a serious problem nationwide. By deploying the LoggLaw G2S, operators can map roost locations, daily flight patterns, and feeding sites — supporting effective countermeasure planning and the optimization of deterrence efforts.

Small-Animal Behavior Tracking

The 50g design enables behavioral tracking of small animals that conventional GPS collars cannot accommodate. It is suited for research and conservation projects.
